Holm Engineered Solutions is a Limited Liability Company that is owned by a small number of private shareholders. It owns the Intellectual Property and licenses this to Holm trading companies in different global regions.

The company enjoys stable governance and calls upon an experienced management team that leads the development of the Asia Pacific region.

While several corporate functions are based in Christchurch, New Zealand, the company prides itself on its international customer base and global support network. The company works in partnership with a number of sales/support offices, manufacturers, engineering consultants, and industry specialists around the globe.

Chief Executive Officer – Hoani Hipango

Hoani is a partner in a business consulting practice that specializes in strategy development, organizational change, and business improvement. He was instrumental in the redesign and development of the rejuvenated Holm Engineered Solutions business, and will lead the newly shaped company as it re enters the market and re establishes itself once more as a global leader of fully engineered solutions in the above ground tank sector.

Hoani has a 21 year background in the New Zealand military having served as a Seaman Officer and a Pilot in the New Zealand Navy, and then as a flying instructor and Commanding Officer in the New Zealand Air Force. Having left the military over 12 years ago, Hoani has commercial experience in the airline, IT, mining and business consulting sectors, and he has worked nationally and internationally in all these industries.

Hoani has 6 years experience as a non executive director of Airways Corporation of NZ, a State Owned Enterprise that is a globally recognized and commercially successful air traffic control service provider.

Director + Product Development Manager – John Holm

John has nearly 50 years engineering experience and is an acknowledged specialist in manufacturing process improvement. He has extensive production expertise and throughout his career has been instrumental in the innovation, design and development of several world leading engineering systems that have dramatically changed the productivity and operation of a number of industries.

John has a passion for engineering excellence and an uncompromising focus on quality which has been pivotal in creating the internationally recognized awards for the numerous businesses he has managed and with the products he has developed.

John has been actively involved in executive of the Manufacturers and Exporters Association for several years and has recently completed a 3 year appointment to the New Zealand Small Business Advisory Group, a government selected group that provides an independent view to Ministers on the development of policy related to Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SME’s).

Marketing Manager – Wendy Kennedy

Wendy is a specialist in creating, designing and implementing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that result in businesses being able to build icon brands and to create unique competitive advantages that cannot be duplicated.
 
Her unique approach to improving business performance through effective communication extends to brand performance and brand development, as well as with implementing creative concepts, internal/external communications, and icon brand development initiatives for a company.

Wendy has worked on many world leading marketing and organizational culture improvement initiatives that include Team New Zealand - Americas Cup, Lonmin Platinum Mines, New Zealand Rugby Union, and the "In the Park" series of events that are now part of the New Zealand cultural and community landscape.

Asia Market Liaison – Angel Hwa-Ping Lee

Angel Hwa-Ping Lee is from Taiwan and has lived in New Zealand for the past 13 years.  She is a graduate of the National Taiwan University with a degree with in design, and she retains strong family and business ties with Taiwan.
 
She has worked with New Zealand manufacturing and exporting companies for over 10 years, and has been instrumental in establishing license agreements and business relationships in Asian and Australasian markets.

Her extensive experience with establishing contacts and connecting New Zealand businesses with the right networks, as well as her passion and commitment for working with manufacturing and export/import organisations, has been invaluable for creating closer business relationships and successful partnering agreements between New Zealand and Asian companies.

Design Manager – Tony Ahrens

Tony has 38 years of engineering experience and has a wealth of industry knowledge particularly in costing, production planning and manufacturing.  He has in depth understanding of complex design considerations and throughout his career he has been instrumental in taking concepts through to development and production in a number of fields.

Tony has a real skill and a unique ability to design solutions that are innovative, creative and functional, and some of these designs in the Heavy Transport, Mining, Drilling, and Waste Treatment industries have revolutionized these sectors, and they are still in practice today.

Tony has been a key part of the design & development path with all the existing Holm products range, and his continued contribution to the development of the New Generation technology will be instrumental in bringing exciting new engineered solutions to market.

Production Manager – Craig Kennedy

Craig has extensive engineering experience having started his career over 30 years ago as a turner & fitter apprentice working in general engineering and transportation manufacture.

For the past 20 years Craig has owned and operated his own manufacturing and general engineering business specializing in custom design and build of campervans, motor homes, mobile containers for trucks, refrigerated containers, mobile structures for transportation and general engineering.

Craig has very sound commercial acumen, practical and design engineering expertise and management skills that will bring great value to the production management role. Craig is also an engineering consultant to manufacturers based in Asia Pacific regions.
